Central Connecticut G Gaugers - About Us

Central Connecticut G Gaugers - Club Info

The Central Connecticut 'G' Gauger's (CCTGG) was formed in 1998 by co-founders David Snow and Bob "The Gatorman" Gentile.  We are a small informal group that was organized to promote the large-scale hobby with a modular layout that can be transported to local train shows.  Our group exhibits at practically all Connecticut train shows as well as the East Coast Large Scale Train Shows (ECLSTS) which is sponsored by Aristocraft Trains.  Each train show offers a way to showcase individual members talents in scratch building, weathering and kitbashing.

The Central Connecticut 'G' Gaugers layout can be configured to a size as large as 32' x 78' layout.  We run mostly 1:20.3, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:29 and 1:32 scales on the layout.  We have no preference towards either steam or diesel, freight or passenger, we run them all.  We have no scheduled meeting times.  Email correspondence before shows has proven sufficient to coordinate any show's efforts.  All members store their modules at their homes.

The Central Connecticut 'G' Gaugers can be contacted by phone or e-mail.  Our contact person is Bill Colwell.  He can be reached at home at (203) 272-2967 or by e-mail by clicking this link.
